Its been a week into my new job and I am loving it! The people are nice and and helpful! It reminds me of when I work at the Sultan Clinic or UW Clinic...its a small family atmosphere, very nice.
I actually didn't start until Wednesday as they the both people in the lab were gone; those two days were very, very busy with me trying to get some stuff done that I had planned on my day time hours off. I started going to the Y at night, taking water aerobics...not bad at all! It has been nice to sleep continuously without any interruptions! Within the month I should be back to my normal self (I know, define normal!). Grandda even has mentioned that I don't look so drained and tired at the end of the week...he is sooo sweet!
I went for my 1 year post Lasix appointment, and everything looks good! I am seeing 20/20! It is so amazing! To think last year I was wearing coke bottles and today I don't! She mentioned in time I will most likely have to have readers, drugstore variety, but I am OK with that! They actually have some cute ones out there!!!
The weather has been kinda weird (but normal for a South spring time)...Last week this time we could have built a snowman! Today, we could be in shorts! Actually, the day before the snowfall, we had 70 degree weather and had been under a few tornado warnings! Welcome to the South!
Not much else to talk about...BLS and I are still going strong! Both him and Mom have been battling the UGH bug! I have been keeping my distance from both (not always my choice) in case I catch it...don't want to do that, not with the new job! The puppers are as always loving me as I am loving them, they are the best! Amber has been adventuring outside and coming back in a few hours later (WHEW!)...still get a little antsy over that, but I know she loves being outside.
later, gators!

New Chapter in the Career
After 6 months at Bullock Co Hospital, I have given my notice...I will be working locally here in Montgomery during day light hours! Yes, i said daylight...0730 to 1600hrs! Its for a Rheumatologist office, therefore it is a Monday thru Friday, no holidays, no weekends, and no nights! In fact, they told me they literally are wanting you out no later than 1630!! This is too good to be true! I am looking forward to sleeping my required 4-5 hours in one block of time! I wont be woken up just to see if I was sleeping ( I am not kidding, this has happened a few times!) And no more commuting! I will the second person in the lab that has a mini lab, not just kits...new instruments and a new test (ANA's) to learn....YEAH! Eventually, the other lady is going to retire (a year or so) and I will be the main person. At least I will have some time before that happens!
I also am looking forward to having my evenings off to hang with Mom, friends or Brad (when he isn't working) or just hanging...I may even take up billiards again! I think this is a positive move for me...I realized that the other was too much a drive and too inconsistent for me.
YEAH!!!!
off to take a nap, before I start all over again...just 5 more nights....
love to all

Happy Anniversary
I should clarify that I am NOT talking about my wedding anniversay (which would have been 19 years on Monday) nor of the divorce anniversary (which was 7 years yesterday) but of me blogging for 1 year today the 24 th! Wow, can you believe it? And, granted I havent posted every week, which I thought I would do, but at least I have every other week or two or month...OK, at least you mostly know what I have been doing this past year...sorta...
As you know, paper is the first anniversary gift...umm, dont think that works for blogging, BUT have you noticed the different background...looks like paper! That is my gift to you, a different background maybe every month or every other month or when I remember to change it....sounds familiar???
BLS and I are doing just fine! I still think I will wake up and find it was a wonderful dream...ssh, quiet, dont wake me....tomorrow will be our 1 month anniversary...wonder what the gift is for that? I am thinking a DQ Blizzard.....
happy day to yall....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Jackson is 5 years old! I dont know where the time has gone since I got him at 7months! As some know, I had just lost my baby, Duke, and I was not ready for another animal. I was thinking in time I would get a Weimerwaner and name him Cooper. I worked with someone who knew someone that had this puppy that needed a new home...I resisted, I wasn't ready. After Mom and Grandda (remember our Monolopy money paid visit for him???) went back to Montgomery, the owners called again...I relented thinking I would just find him a home myself, after i worked with him...well, I did find him a home and could not imagine my life without him!! Augustus something other became Jackson Allen and my buddy!
Happy Birthday, Bubba Jack!!!

I am not sure what one knows about this avenue of communication called Face Book. I had an old friend (my bestest) from high school tell me about and said it was a fun place to reconnect with old friends and make new ones and stay connected with current ones...ummm...so i created an account and it was OK, no biggee...i had a My Space account and it was OK also, kinda fun to chit chat with friends and see pictures that they have posted. BUT, in the last week or so Face Book has become addicting! It is awesome! I have reconnected with friends from school that I haven't seen nor talked with since then! And some of them live within blocks of me!!! Here I moved back and was on the sad side that I didn't know anyone here except those that I worked with! And there was no history amongst us, it was like dating, trying to get to know one another and see if we clicked! Don't get me wrong, I have made a couple of friends and ones that I hang out, but I was thinking its not the same. I was (and I still am) missing my friends in Washington (OH, RM, LN). I think its something that you would like to check out. And if you do, look me up and we can connect that way!
Speaking of dating...I am seeing someone from my past! Supposedly we went out a once or twice before I joined the Air Force. I don't remember him but he knows things that only someone who was around then would, like the front license plate that i had on my truck (in Alabama we only have the back plate, so many have a "vanity' plate on the front) and where i worked (yes, I had two jobs then!) and mutual friends! How bizarre! He is a true gentleman, opens doors and refuses to let me pay, even the tip! This past week I was (still a little) very sick and he would call (text or email) and check on me! How sweet is that! Its only been a few weeks but it feels like we have known each other forever! (and remember, i dont remember him!) I am afraid that I will wake up and realize it was just a dream. So DON'T pinch me because I am living it and loving it day to day...By the way his name is Brad...I wont refer to him as his initals as I do with you, because his are ...BS! And I dont feel nor believe that is him!
I hope all is well with you and that the flooding hasn't affected you in a negative way (OH, thinking of your mom) and I send you hugs and smiles!!!
me and the gang!
